March Madness

Tis the season for madness in March.  Taxes, birthdays, basketball - our life right now is complete chaos.    I made it through the March 15th deadline (somehow with only one crazy freakout on my husband).  Lily's birthday seems as if it will never end.  Gifts keep showing up and it's been two weeks since her big day!

This past weekend was the official kick off of the NCAA tournament - our brackets are all screwed up.  Saturday I was under the impression Mike and I would venture out to watch the Michigan and Michigan State games.  Apparently I was only half right - Mike intended to go out and Lily and I were not invited.  Instead I got to stay home with a teething, feverish, cranky baby. 

Thankfully my husband knows me well enough to not return home empty handed.  He swung through Spoonlickers - his all time get out of jail free card - and bought me a $9 frozen yogurt (you pay by the ounce....).

Can you believe this is our 100th post??? 

Cute as a Button

Some may say I went overboard on Lily's first birthday party - mainly my husband - but if we're only having one child I say go big or go home.  I went with the theme Cute as a Button and after I mailed out invitations (decked out in buttons) I realized most people use this as a baby shower theme.  So my options at Party City were limited and I resorted to Pinterest to save my life.  And it did.  A big THANK YOU to everyone who helped us celebrate!!
