Valentine's Day

Every holiday is so fun with Lily - even if it's a Hallmark one.  As she gets older, she gets so excited for her class parties to celebrate.  This year as soon as the sign-up sheet was hung up, she demanded we go buy the table cloths.  And of course the $1 pink ones weren't good enough - they had to have hearts all over them.

This year, Lily helped me make her Valentine's.  We went with a dinosaur theme and she helped stamp, sort, and seal the bags.  She even picked which classmate got which color and she was really disappointed that we didn't have any purple ones for the girls.  Apparently Oriental Trading Company didn't get the memo that girls like dinos too.

Lily was more excited about what was in her box this year she could barely finish her snack at school.  All she wanted was to get her hands on her box and see what everyone else had to share.

Mom and Dad got to spend Valentine's weekend boat shopping in Detroit with Uncle B and Jacqueline so Lily got to celebrate a bit early with us.  She wasn't into sharing her strawberry cake pop with either of us.

Little Fish

Lily has been swimming every Monday since last April.  We started out with a mommy and me class before she quickly transitioned into swimming on her own.  Mondays are crazy enough on their own - let alone when we threw in a 5:30 swim class - but Lily loved her teacher and really excelled with her.  We lasted about two weeks arriving late to each lesson before I decided the evening class just wasn't going to work during tax season.  And lucky for us, Lily's teacher had an opening in her 10:30 Saturday class.  This summer I have a feeling she'll be diving off our dock no fear!
