Thursday I actually got up on time but left the house without my computer. I got to work only to turn around and head back home. And since I hadn't made it to work before 9:00am the whole week, I figured why start now? I stopped at Biggby and got myself an extra large red-eye to get me through the rest of the day. Ok so maybe I was the only one who had a really strange week.
Lily had a pretty good week. Tuesday at conferences we were told she's become quite the chatterbox in the last couple of weeks. She also really values her personal space - aka doesn't play well with others - something we already knew.
Her new favorite word is "hot". Everything is too hot. Food (even when it's straight from the fridge), the bathwater (even after we've checked it for her three extra times), the oven (every time she walks by). And she's turned every meal this week into an art project. She can't simply eat her food - she has to play with it - especially the pieces she doesn't like.
We had an amazing weekend! Friday I gave our entire house a complete scrub down - I even organized every single closet. I'm sure you're thinking that's not really that amazing but I don't think our house has ever been this clean....at least since we've moved in. We met our fabulous friends the Stuevers for dinner at Perrin Brewing Company. Lily and Cru had some pretty good stare downs and quite the eating contest - but Lily valuing her personal space wouldn't let Cru too close.
Saturday we woke up to our first snow! I know many of you are trying to remind me that it's not really the first snow but we were basking in the sunshine of Florida the last snowfall. Lily and I met Aunt Erin at Hobby Lobby for some quality time scheming for Aunt Aimee and Baby Weston's baby shower. We spent most of the remainder of the day crafting like crazy and I can't wait to post pictures of our creations. You'll have to wait until mid-December before I'll let you peek at what we've done!
Sunday we acquired a new roommate. So when I said earlier our house was spotless - it no longer is. I'm pretty sure when Uncle Brayden said he was moving in he said he wasn't bringing that much stuff. However, most of our basement and part of our garage has been filled with boxes and boxes. I wouldn't say they are necessarily full anymore since Lily has taken it upon herself to help go through them....
