For those of you who know me really well, you know our kitchen and our laundry have always been pet peeves of mine (and our deck). Almost a year ago now, a
trip to IKEA to get some organization solutions turned into phase 1 of our laundry room remodel. Phase 2 (according to my post) was supposed to come fall 2013. Well…fall 2013 has long come and gone so I suppose it was about time for me to get around to replacing those hideous cabinets right?
Wrong. I'd been doing some major pinning and decided I could totally reface our cabinets myself. And Mike said when I quit because I'd ruined them, it was going to finally force us to get new ones. So for my birthday weekend, I asked my parents to watch Lily so I could do something exciting - like tear apart my laundry room again. By using leftover paint and primer from tackling the wood paneling in our basement, I spent less than $40 on sand paper and new hinges. I spent Friday sanding, priming, filling cracks, and painting. It's amazing what you can do yourself!
