The weather was beautiful and we spent as much time outside as possible. We even managed to fit in updated family photos which will hopefully be available soon.
Is it weird that every adult has a beverage in their hand?? No? Ok I didn't think so either...
We made it down to Gun Lake for some dinner and live music on the lakefront. Although we didn't end up sitting on the deck for dinner, we were able to enjoy the sun for awhile beforehand. I'm a little biased but in my opinion the two best singers were under the age of 5.
The other day I was picking up our sunroom (although my wish was for all of Lily's toys to disappear to the basement, that hasn't happened) and I looked outside and caught this cuteness down below. There is nothing that makes my heart more full than the love between a girl and her puppy.
This upcoming summer Lily will partake in two weddings as the flower girl. Because my soon to be sister-in-law and best friend are down to earth people, they agreed on the same dress for Lily to walk down the aisle in. We ordered it online (sight and size unseen) from a dress company overseas and it arrived late last week. I was so nervous it wasn't going to fit but luckily it's spot on. Since I don't want to spoil the upcoming weddings, I'll only share this picture of her throwing a tantrum. Apparently it all stems from not having matching shoes yet. #problemsofafouryearold
My first semester at DU has officially wrapped up. The Commencement ceremony was held yesterday, we had a College of Business debrief meeting today, final grades are due tomorrow at 10:00am, I have some administrative stuff to take care of the next couple of weeks, Lily's daycare papers have been submitted, and June can't come soon enough. I never participated in either of my own Commencement ceremonies so ironically enough, here I am walking the walk for the very first time. One of my co-workers was so excited to help me snap a picture for my mother that she insisted I get it taken in front of DU's mascot. Apparently tradition is to have your picture taken in the mouth of the Panther but after I saw the line I refused. She tried to get me to photobomb, insisting that every grad wants their photo taken with a professor - but since I'd already been mistaken 3 times for a student - I declined. So Mom - here you go!
