Life with a two year old

You would think life with a two year old would be pretty much the same as life with a 23 month old but overnight it seems as though Lily has transformed from baby to toddler.  In the last week, Lily has talked more than she has her entire two years - and nonstop.  And she knows exactly what she wants and how she wants it - whether it be the outfit she wears to school, what she eats, or where mom, dad, or Diesel can sit.  The most amazing thing?  She's been putting herself to bed at night when she gets tired and she's been sleeping until 8.  She even requested to go back to bed the other morning when I was getting ready for work.  Life with two year old Lily couldn't be any better.

In the market for new boots and a horse

In other exciting Hoy news - Mike requested I post this picture of our new Bradford White water heater.  The day after Lily's birthday party, we were packing up some of her new toys to save for a rainy day when we noticed water puddles in the storage room.  Within minutes Mike was reworking our ductwork to our furnace and unhooking our ancient water heater.  The next day by the time I'd gotten home from work, Bradford White had delivered a new heater (a higher quality model than what we ordered) and one of their contractors had installed it - on the house.  

And in honor of upcoming St. Patty's day, this is the most Irish thing the Hoys did all weekend - prepared oatmeal stout corned beef.  I'll tell you tomorrow if it's any good!
