Let it snow

We were blessed with the first snow of the season over the weekend.  And yes - I used the word blessed - not because I love that white stuff but mostly because Mother Nature waited until November 19th to make us feel the first pains of winter.  We were way overdue for it to make an appearance and since it was 70 degrees on the 18th, I feel we've been blessed.  I also have to take a step back and remember how amazing it was to see those first flakes start to fall when I was a kid.  The pure joy in Lily's eyes as she sat in our picture window for a good chunk of the morning was worth the freezing cold temperatures.
